HOUSE OF HORRORS!To his neighbors, Anthony Sowell was a friendly and helpful former Marine who played chess and hosted summer barbeques. But there was a dark side to Sowell--and a horrific secret inside his house.
On October 29, 2009, his secret life was revealed to the nation after a Cleveland Police SWAT team entered Sowell's house to arrest him on a sexual assault charge. Sowell was not there, but police -- nearly overcome by the stench of decaying flesh -- encountered a nightmarish scene. Two decomposing bodies were in his third-floor living room. Eight other bodies were hidden throughout the house and buried in the back yard. A skull was found in the basement. All were female and all appeared to have been bound and strangled.

Joan Webster arrived at Logan Airport on Saturday 11-28-1981. A massive multi state search ensued when Joan disappeared after leaving the airport. Her remains were found buried in Hamilton, MA in April 1990.
